TRUSTWORTHY ACCOUNTABILITY GROUP ANNOUNCES NUMBER OF COMPANIES WITH TAG “CERTIFIED AGAINST FRAUD” SEAL HAS DOUBLED SINCE APRIL
26 New Companies Complete TAG Anti-Fraud Certification Process
WASHINGTON, DC – November 28, 2017 – The Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG), an advertising industry initiative to fight criminal activity in the digital advertising supply chain, today announced that the number of companies to have received TAG’s Certified Against Fraud Seal has more than doubled since April 2017.
TAG’s 26 new seals have been awarded to companies at the forefront of the industry’s efforts to reduce fraud, including: A+E Networks; Amazon Services LLC; BabyCenter; Carat; Centro; dataxu; Digital Remedy; Exponential; Eyeview; Facebook, Inc.; GroundTruth; GumGum; Hulu; Kargo; LoopMe; Maman pour la Vie; MaxPoint Interactive, Inc.; Media iQ; Meredith; Popsugar; ShareThis; Shazam; SpotX; Torrential, Inc.; Unruly; and Vevo.
“Over the past year, TAG’s Certified Against Fraud Seal has become the ad industry’s gold standard for companies around the world who want to protect their brands and show their leadership in fighting fraud,” said TAG CEO Mike Zaneis. “We are excited to welcome these new compliant companies, and we look forward to working with them and more than 120 additional companies that are currently working towards their TAG Certified Against Fraud seals.”
All of the participants announced today met a rigorous set of guidelines specific to the role they play in the digital advertising supply chain.
- Buyers such as advertisers and authorized advertiser agents (AAAs) completed the TAG Registration process, designated a TAG compliance officer, and complied with the Media Rating Council’s Invalid Traffic (IVT) Detection and Filtration Guidelines.
- Sellers such as publishers and authorized publisher agents (APAs) complied with all of the steps required of buyers, as well as domain list filtering, data center IP list filtering, and publisher sourcing disclosure requirements.
- Intermediaries such as ad networks and other indirect buyers and sellers complied with all of the steps required of buyers, as well as domain list filtering, data center IP list filtering, and TAG’s Payment ID protocol.
